Hi guys,
very newby and impressed by all the information you could gather there.
I probably missed it but could not find on any topic a list of the available "lingos" and commands. Say I wish to implement a basic remote (play/pause, next, previous), which mode and commands should I consider?
Then, I wish to implement a charger function, I understood that a 500K ID resistor will trigger a serial dock and then do the job, eg charger + remote control. Did I get it right? Does this work for all iPods (nano, mini, touch, iPhones...)?
Last, I believe that the line-out signals on the dock connector are not controlled by the volume up/down controls of the iPod. Could anyone confirm?
