New Drivers

Postby crease-guard » Tue Jan 19, 2010 8:32 pm

Mitch, I have an older Audio switcher and XM interface. The new drivers have a different VID/PID than does the hardware. I'm trying to install in Windows 7. Can you list a manual way to change the IDs so I can get these drivers to install?

Thanks
Jay

we have to change your PID in your hardware...

i have a older driver, you install, then use a program i made, and it will update the PID
then all on new drivers

PM me for this info

Ok, I ran the program to change the PIDs and that ran fine. Then I installed the new drivers and they installed fine. The XM and USB Audio selector both show up just fine in the USB section and the XM device in the com ports section as well (Audio selector not in com port as directed).

Now, I fire up SatAmp and the XM module works but SatAmp doesn't see the audio selector. Also, the task bar app won't see it either.

I also tried uninstalling the device, then plugging it into a different USB port to trigger a fresh install of the drivers (pointing the driver search to my driver folder, not automatic install) and that didn't work either.

So, in short, Windows sees the device and states it's working just fine but none of the software can see the device.

Any ideas?

Jay

ps. Both were working just fine with the old drivers.
