Centrafuse and HD radio

Postby bherron » Mon Feb 08, 2010 4:24 pm

Hi

Just got your cable two weeks ago and it works great, thanks. My only problem is that when I shut down my CarPC I am currently having the unit go into hibernation. When the PC is restarted the radio is no longer working. the only way top bring it back is to reboot the PC. Any ideas? I am running Centrafuse 2.0 on a tinyXP SP3 operating system with the latest software from your website for the HD radio.

thanks

The HDradio is powered to the ignition switch (red wire) as is the PC. However the PC takes a little bit of time to come on as it is driven by an Opus power supply. I have a remote wire I could tie the HD radio red wire to coming from the Opus power supply but I'll have to tear apart the PC case to get at the jumpers to configure this.

Another CF/HD radio question but unrelated to the first. I noticed you had a plugin for CF3.0 for the HD radio. I installed it but not quite sure what it does?

its just an updated module, nothing more, nothing less
but way newer than what comes with 3.0

Curious if anyone has been able to access the HD channels with this module. I seem to be having good luck setting of CF3.0 but getting the HD channels seems to be escaping me. I disabled the auto right click and am holding down the FM button like I've read about but it's still not working.

Anyone out there have any luck?

Mitch,

Love the cable, I am using the Directed HD unit. I have just moved my install off the work bench and into the car, and after connecting everything back up I can not get the Radio to work. I think the com ports changed and for the life of me cannot find the xml file or any place in the settings to make the change. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am using 3.0 and the USB to serial adapter is on Com 2.

Thanks In ADVANCE!

Mike

if the comport changed, so what... it will relearn...
the radio will fail, but then go into radio again, and it should look for it...and find it
u of course can manuually edit their xml file
in the userdata area, radiomodules\hdradio

Mitch,

I have tried everything I can think of. I downloaded your application for the HD radio and everything seems to work. When I try to use CF - nothing works.

Any ideas?

Do I need to take this issue up with CF?

Thanks,

Mike
